Players won't always be alone though--as they explore, they must collect the energies of indigenous spirits to help unravel a mystery and build their own power. Some will help ... but beware, for not all the spirits are friendly. Prepare for a first-person adventure with a spectral twist! Possessions range from soldiers with guns to dog- and mouse-like creatures that can perform specialized physical tasks. Choose different characters and see the world in different ways. Travel through the human world virtually unseen, using your abilities to slip through cracks, interfere with electronics, move objects and more. Face challenges from two unique angles--as a possessed human or a lurking spirit hunting its prey. Prepare for death matches with the dead in all-new multiplayer modes that combine first-person combat with unique ghost and possession mechanics. Preview We haven't heard much about Geist, the ghostly first-person shooter in development for the GameCube at n-Space, since it was announced at E3 2003. That is until recently, when we got a chance to go hands-on with the game to find out just what makes Geist's supernatural gameplay tick. The game features some pretty cool mechanics that you won't see in just any FPS, and a handful of adventure game elements ought to make the game appeal to a wider audience than those who simply like to run-and-gun everything in sight. Geist casts you as John Raimi, a soldier investigating the shadowy Volks Corporation.

Some of the scenes with Eva may change in the "Peep Mode"!! Online Mode - In the online mode, players will be able to battle with up to eight people in five different missions including, "Sneaking Mission," "Capture Mission," "Rescue Mission," "Death Match," and "Team Death Match." Online Mode Missions: Sneaking Mission - One player will take the part of Snake in this online mode. Snake will be the victor if that player manages to procure something that is guarded by the other players. Team Death Match - Players are divided into teams to play a "vs." game within a set time limit.

First-person adventures tend to focus on puzzles, exploration and character-interaction with no shooting or action elements, though some also feature elements from other genres, including action games and role-playing games.
